Thank god for that, I thought for a moment I was going to have to have a little cry...
Stopping in villages sounds good to me, the pastries from the little patisseries are the best!
I checked yesterday, rain in Paris on Saturday but supposed to be a clear night in London.
Oh before I forget, have you looked at hostels/hotels at all? I haven't yet but will dig out some prices and addresses tonight if need be.
