Love it on Lindesfarne (Holy Island) the ascetic Saint Aiden statue there really moves me, and it is a beautiful retreat.
If people cant get away, have you tried turning off everything electronic, getting plenty rest, going for little explorations around local places and parks you always mean to go but never do, taking time to visit coffee shops and generally going slow-- its pretty much free and all good.
