  • ^ Did it hit the spot? The Arago spot?

I UTFSed, but my head exploded quite quickly.

  • Need good food suggestions near Oxford Circus.

Or to be precice, around Argyll St. Working there this week and it seems there's all types of soul crushing Pret stores, M&S ect. There must be a good place hidden away that serves decent food for under a £10 (ideally £5!) Surely? On first impressions it seems desolate!

I'd normally bring leftovers or make killer sambos but being in a new place your never sure of the kitchen facilities. Will go for a look at lunch but any suggestions appreciated!

    Cheers

Berwick St you have the chippy, or Beetroot(decent, healthy vegetarian) next to The Endurance
Poland St you've got the Golden Union chippy, you have the little Japanese place on Kingly St

  • Looking to make this this week:
    Pear and saffron chutney

Recipe by my mate Andy Oliver. I've tasted it and it's bloody delicious.

Champion! That pretty much covers off this weeks menu. Might save the chippy option for a day with a hangover to cure.

  • If you fancy cheap, half decent Thai, try Thai Cottage on D'arblay St

Also, how could I forget Bodeans on Poland St! BBQ ribs, chicken, burgers, burnt ends etc. Basically MEAT!

Oh yeah, shredded pork roll. Oil dripping down your hands. So bad, but so good.

Re cheap, half decent thai: That's all I have ever found in london, regardless of price. Have not found a place that really zings your taste buds.

  • cotton cafe on berwick street - god dammit but those flamin' homosexualists know their way around a tuna lettuce and tomato on brown (with just a dash of tobasco) and a tin of fizzy pop.

    /tell andrew i sent you.

  • those flamin' homosexualists know their way around a tuna lettuce and tomato on brown...

Are you Alf from Home & Away?

So there's actually loads of place nearby. Excellent.

  • You're in Soho, millions of places

  • True, I'm just never really in SOHO to eat. Especially during the day. normally being here involves meeting up and having a drink on the way to somewhere ect.

  • Greggs on Upper James Street.

Well, not unless you forget about the people in Melbourne that apparently died from food poisoning from Banh Mi. Meh. Never stopped me. They are delicious.

Problem with Pho is that anywhere I go here it's still not as good as Pho 14 in Paris, or back in Cabramatta (Sydney)

  • ha ha its worth a try..if its bad im blaming you !!! :)

  • Well... Im blaming you for the fact that I had a large bowl of pho and had to grab a baguuette on the way out!

the Pho was nice, but no chilli oil or Pho sauce = EPIC fail.
