  • Wait - You're signing off your posts "Jesus" now?

    The front.

  • Surely the best way to do this is in say £150 batches for say £110.

    God.

  • Forgive me everyone, but I never make a habit of slagging off bicycle shops off, but vividly remember popping into Cycle Surgery in Holborn over 4-5 years ago and enquiring about Campagnolo? The guy who was serving me had never heard of 'Campagnolo' and another member of staff (North American accent) had a right go at me for asking such questions when ended up in a major arguement...

The whole situation was one of disbelief... I will never pop into that shop ever again. Seriously second rate bicycle shop...

  • Surely the best way to do this is in say £150 batches for say £110.

    God.

    £150 batches would come to £142.50p (-5%)

This thread will burn in hell.

  • One good thing about Cycle Surgery is that they match internet prices, so if you see some product going cheap on - for instance - Wiggle, you can go into CS and quote that price and they will sell you that product at the Wiggle price.

  • tynan! You are right!!! Apologies withdrawn. That shop is fully of ignorant aresholes and really crap bikes!!!! Got to be the worst overpriced shop going!!!

  • Stick em on ebay....

  • Yes, they can all burn in hell... maybe that's being a bit hard... not!

I work in kings cross i guess that makes me an ignorant arsehole. we do stock a selection of campag parts though.

  • If you ever walked into a bike shop and one of the shop assistants asked if you required any help, to which you answered politley 'Yes please, do you stock any Campagnolo components?'. To which he didn't understand and asked you to repeat the name again several times to the point of irritation, followed by some very unprofessinal behaviour from another member of staff having ago at you for asking such a question, would exactly would you think?? I would really like to hear your point of view.

I work in kings cross i guess that makes me an ignorant arsehole. we do stock a selection of campag parts though.

  • obviously i would be pissed but that doesn't mean that it is FULL of ignorant arseholes.

  • Wow you meet two people, one time, on one shift at one shop so you conclude everyone at Cycle surgery is an ignorant arsehole. You clearly are a master of deduction!

  • Well I guess you are completely right and I completely wrong! Terrible me! Asking such stupid questions... Campagnolo??? What's that?? Never heard of it... Doesn't look we will miss one another...

Wow you meet two people, one time, on one shift at one shop so you conclude everyone at Cycle surgery is an ignorant arsehole. You clearly are a master of deduction!

  • Look at the evidence you cite, and the conclusion you draw, if you can't see the massive gap between those two I can't help you.

  • I don't remember being rude to anyway in that shop in Holborn all that time ago and was spoken down to... what conclusion should one draw?? Well I'll leave the door open for you to say the last word as I am completely in the wrong...

  • They might be nice in that Kings Cross shop - but they looked at me like I was something from another world when I enquired whether they had a seat bolt for a 80s steel frame.

  • lefty. try £800 for the vouchers, then you might get some interest. maybe.

    This^^^

  • If i were OP i'd be tempted to go in and buy 2-3 half decent fixed or SS bikes, last year's models or even the year before, split them and sell them on.

Either that or take the hint that after one week either -

    • the value of the vouchers is - at most - the best offer so far.
      or
    • this is the wrong place to sell them, delete advert and stop wasting people's time.
