beautiful. heavy. was the verdict of a friend in NY last week. I personally love the look.

I didn't find them heavy, at least with the standard VO fixed wheelset.
go for it.

I love mine so much, I've just bought another pair.
They are light enough, build very nicely - shallow sections are easier to lace/get the nipples on and the stainless eyelets are a nice touch. No nasty stickers to get rid of either. Braking is fine and sharp in the dry, but does suffer a little in the wet, never been a problem though. -

Beautifully shiny too, another excuse to post the picture of my bike with the wheelset;

Are they the box section or the diagonal? Think I will be going for the VO rim but not sure which section. Any idea where I can find them in London?

Bump for general interest in London VO supplier :)

Freshtripe and/or Tokyofixedgear.

Ahh EdScoble. Bump into you again, what a coincidence.
The VO wheelset is the only wheelset i would be happy with for my peugeot conversion!
What are the Pros and Cons?
Where did you buy them from? (freshtripe.co.uk are sold out and the Velo Orange in American won;t have any till november :(

Can anyone recommend me any good tan walled tyres too?
Would be much appreciated.

Well they're cheap.. and that it, I can't see any cons beside the lack of machined sidewall but that's nothing.
edited - realise you're talking about the tyres, not the rims, whoop!
go for it, decent little tyres it is.

Pasela tourguard are decent tyres with tan sidewall and puncture protection.

+1 Panaracer Pasela Tour Guard. Using these on my VO wheelset. I bought them couple of months ago from VeloOrange.

Wow. The rims look strong, and pretty thick. What thickness are the tyres?
Hi, Does anyone have experience of the Velo orange rims? Build quality, durability etc.
I don't really want a deep section rim so other than the open pro which is a possibility are there any other to consider?
