Wanted: Large Big nice Track Frame > 62cm or more

Posted on
  • Hi Guys!
I'm founding a big large Track nice steel frame (high geometry)
I like Eddy Merckx, or other important frame...

    61,62 ctc

Better if it is 63ctc or 64ctc...
I know that it isn't an easy search, but i hope in you...because here in italy i don't find nothing so large.

    Thanks all!

  • Might not fit your description but size wise it might be yours, Dolan Alu 61cm on sale in this forum.

    Regards,
    Benjamin

  • Thanks coventry...but i'm founding for steel frame...i don't like the geometry of the modern frame.
I already have a nice track frame 58c/c, and i'm founding for a larger...
    ;-)

  • nothing else?

  • the frame's not modern (circa 1992) and aluminium will change your mind. Come down the track on the 11th and ride it.

  • Tronkys: This might help. It is in between your current 58 and your ideal 62, 60cm steel track frame :)

Benjam: Referred your frame to him prior to this but he's kinda a racist-cyclist and prefer steel to alum!!! LOL! :D

  • racist.

  • I'm selling a large classic track frame at the moment. 60cm c-c. In the classifieds!

  • Yep, sorry for the broken link, but was pushing your frame to him :)

I'm selling a large classic track frame at the moment. 60cm c-c. In the classifieds!

  • Why does this racist want a 62cm plus? On a track 61 is your standard big guy frame. Even my road bike is 61cm and I'm 6'7" !

  • Because he thinks steel is real? LOL! :)

  • I don't like the geometry and the tubes of the modern aluminium frame...
And particularly for a big size frame, i prefer the response of steel.
And olso i'm fascinated by the old vintage frame of the era.

The bike that i use is a real pista steel frame of an important italian framebulder of the era, and it's 58c-c, with a large out-saddle, and it's small for me.
I still have a nos 59c-c, that i have not yet assembled because 1cm don't change my life, and neither 2cm(for an eventually 60c-c)...

I want done a big step, because i don't like the large out-saddle(and the old frame, differently by the modern frame, not be assembled with a large out-saddle).
So, since that i'm 6'6", and i must buy i new frame...i want a perfect frame for my size.
If i try something over 62cm is good, for lower frame, i have my 59c-c for capture 1cm,2cm more.

So, if i don't try nothing, next mounth i will do a customized frame by an old framebulder of the era here in italy. (that in your store have a beautiful 60c-c, but himself tell me that also if he must be freed by this frame, he don't sell me this because is small for me)

    I want thissssssssssssssssssssssssssssss............ :-P°°°

PS: sorry for my scolastich english, i hope that you understaind me...

Thanks coventry eagle, good frame, but yet too small for me...:-)

Thanks too benjam, but i don't like this modern alu frame...:-)
(and this is 61centre-top, not a real 61c-c)

Benjam: Referred your frame to him prior to this but he's kinda a racist-cyclist and prefer steel to alum!!! LOL! :D

    :-) :-P ;-)
    peace!

  • just for shits and giggles... angles are the same, put straight fork on and you're away. alu FTW you steel racist.

  • Cheeky flame-stoking bump

OoOoOooo... Challenge showdown... Steel v. Alum, Italian v. Brit... Winner takes loser's bike? LOL!
