I really like it. Gears / 27"s / mudguards / oldschool pump / bartape.
I'm a big fan of fixed conversions but not with this frame.

looks like a respray is in order IMHO.
agree with hanged_up on the geared front. But if you do go fixed or ss , don't slice all the braze-ons off, because the next owner (if you sell it on) might want it geared. that's what i've done on my old tourer frame.

Can't be sure from the photos, but the only braze-ons are the pump begs and the cable guides on the TT. I'lld put money on there not being a rear mech hanger on the frame.
BTW, I find seatstay bridges made from steel plate one of the most ugly things ever found on a bicycle, just MHO. -

While I'm not a fan of puppykills, taking the braze-ons off this is no crime.
And what ever you do, DON'T RESPRAY IT!!!... not because its would be a shame to loose the orgininal paint from such a classic bike, but because there is zero point in dropping £60 on this frame....
... also the colours look pretty cool and give it character. Powdercoating has no character.
Just rub down with some wd40 and wire wool, clean polish, etc. and enjoy it.
For future reference these things should be posted in current projects.

What exactly is wd40 and wire wool supposed to remove? Sorry, kind of newfag question, but wouldn't it remove the paint as well?

WD40 and wire wool would clean up the exposed steel on the frame and protect it (at first) from getting more rusty. But be very careful with wire wool on the good remaining paint as it could also lift more paint. You'd also need to do this every month or so to stop the rot from spreading unless you cleaned it up and then gave it a light coat of clear laquer. Personally a frame of this age and value is probably best kept with its original paint, it has a patina and lends the bike character.
As others have said I think this would work best as geared rather than turning it to SS or fixed. Ebay or the 'for sale / wanted' forum here are great places to look for decent period used parts that won't break the bank.
