ha joker! i went supersonic through traffic and sleepwalking peds, do you think, i had an eye on my cadence?
but let's do the (after)math: distance is 4.8mi and average speed must have been 24mph gives a cadence of around 120 to 130 rpm on average. i didn't stop at all but had to slow down and consequently speed up a bit here and there, so was way higher at times.
looking at it, this speed is not so unusual really. the not stopping part is the trick and i wouldn't recommend it. as i said, i was very hungry :P

is your bike alright?
Yes. Only a scratch on a handlebar. Still cycling.

I'm loving the testimonials guys, i might print them out and leave them on his deck at lunchtime ;-)
OSR, my typo. I meant 40 mins, not 50. And that's stopping at EVERY red.
But I am still old and slow though. That bit was accurate.

Hipster!
-
• #6918
no hipster would ride 5.5 miles to west london...
-
• #6919
How far can a hipster ride then?
And how much wood would a woodchuck chuck?
-
• #6920
hipsters have a 1 mile limit... riding a s/s without braks and at less than walking speed on something that uncomfortable means limited distance
One quarter of a sycamore if you give him a quarter for every quarter of the sycamore he cut.

Next Tuesday is my last drinking night in London for about two weeks, so I hope there's people to get drunk with after polo... My intention will be to get drunk enough to find some more French students...

I reckon SE's should go to the offy and bring a crate or 4 down to Polo. It's only the other side of dog kennel hill....
no. let them arrive unnannounced like I did, and figure out who to talk to/avoid for themselves. The best way.
