• Hi everyone,
I’ve just sorted out another lot of interesting and bargain frames and three bikes. Shipping on frames within the UK will be £11 - other items can ship free of charge in the same box. I can ship anywhere in the world at a reasonable cost.

    ALL ITEMS ARE IN BRISTOL

Payment can be via bank transfer (preferred), cheque or the dreaded Paypal which costs me 3%…

** If you dib an item, please PM me and pay the same day unless you make other arrangements with me. Otherwise it may well be sold to the next person who wants it...**

AND don’t forget Muswell Hill Cyclejumble, 7th August St Mary with St George Parish Hall, corner of Park Rd & Cranley Gardens, Muswell Hill, London N10 3AH – I will be there...

Viewing/Personal collection is welcome as quite a few have found and have been able to get other parts they are looking for at the same time.

    CHESINI PRECISION ROAD FRAME c1979
    Seat Tube (ctc): 53cm (21in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 53.5cm (21.1in)
    Rear dropout width: 124mm
Wheel size: 700C (brake drop 50mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
    Frame Tubing: Columbus SL
Chesini frames are built in Verona in Italy - many feature heavily engraved seatstay caps and fork crowns which includes a stylised version of the Verona city wall. They are really very nicely built – and this one is no exception. This frame has only been very lightly used and has I would think done less than 1000 miles – the paint has only a few small marks and the chrome is close to flawless. Also included but not shown in the photos is a Chesinin pantographed 3TTT stem. It would make a very cool fixed or singlespeed conversion. £225

    CARLTON FLYER TRACK FRAME c1965
    Seat Tube: 22in 56cm ctc
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C with brake drop of 58mm
    Bottom bracket threads: English
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Carlton Flyer frames were built for many years - this one from the mid 1960s features Carlton’s proprietary Capellla lugs together with a Fischer fork crown which was used by Carlton/Raleigh for their track frames over many years and by other noted makers such as Masi... It has been very nicely powdercoated in an almost irridiscent purple. It will be supplied with a full set of decals and an excellent head badge. £225

RALEIGH DYNA-TECH PRO 1990 ** NEW AND UNUSED**
    Seat Tube (ctt): 59cm (23.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56cm (22in)
    Rear dropout width: 130mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 45mm)
Frame tubing: 2080 steel tubing (this is a version of 753 designed specifically for the bonded Dyna-Tech frames)
Raleigh introduced the range of bonded Dyna-Tech frames in 1990 - this one is their top model built from what they called 2080 tubing - in fact a special light version of 753 - the forks were also 753. This frame is really light and the paint is virtually perfect - I have not found a mark. Raleigh later used their Dyna-Tech lugs with Titanium and aluminium metal matrix alloy tubes - the Ti frames were heavier than these early 2080 frames; the aluminium metal matrix were lighter still - I have one myself which weighs just 1.1kg which for 1994 was light! The vertical dropouts mean that it is not suitable for fixed or singlespeed conversion. £175

    R O HARRISON MADISON TRACK FRAME 1953
    Seat Tube (ctt): 49.5cm (19.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55.5cm (21.75in)
    Rear dropout width: 116mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 45mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
R O Harrison from south London was a highly skilled framebuilder and built for many top track riders of the day - such as Harry Grant. This very small pure track frame has tight clearances and steep angles and is excellent condition. £185

    HOBBS LUGLESS ROAD FRAME 1951
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 55cm (21.5in)
    Rear dropout width: 115mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C (brake drop 57mm)
    Seatpost size: 27.0mm
Frame tubing: Accles and Pollocks Kromo double butted tubing

This nicely built and restored Hobbs lugless frame is built from Accles and Pollocks double butted tubing - in the late 40s and especially early 50s Kromo tubing was particularly popular amongst quite a few of the top framebuilders in the UK - it was a very close competitor to Reynolds 531. It has been built up since the being repainted but its obviously not been used much since and there are only a few small insignificant marks. It would make a very cool fixed or singlespeed conversion. £175

    CARLTON CONTINENTAL ROAD FRAME 1954
    Seat Tube (ctt): 23in (58cm)
    Top Tube (ctc): 22in (56cm)
    Rear dropout width: 118mm
Wheel size: 27s or sprints/700C with brake drop of 60mm
    Frame tubing: Reynolds 531
I have identified this Carlton road frame as being their Continental model - it is built with Carlton's Lindrick type lugs introduced in 1954 – the frame number starting with a D confirms the 1954 date. The fork looks a bit crude but Carlton did employ a variety of not very special fork crowns during the 50s - however its also possible its a later replacement. It would make a very good budget fixed or singlespeed conversion. £55

NO-NAME ROAD FRAME c1988 ** NEW AND UNUSED**
    Seat Tube (ctt): 57cm (22.5in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 126mm
Wheel size: Sprints/700C (brake drop 45mm)
    Seatpost size: 26.8mm
This new old stock road frame almost certainly dates from the late 1980s and is built from a mid-range tubing set such as Columbus Aelle judging by its seatpost size. Its really quite nicely built and the red paint is virtually unmarked - there are only a couple of very insignificant marks. Its geometry and clearances are pure road bike. It will make an excellent fixed or singlespeed conversion. £89

CARPENTER ROAD FRAME 1949 Fancy Lugs
    Seat Tube (ctt): 58cm (23in)
    Top Tube (ctc): 56.5cm (22.25in)
    Rear dropout width: 120mm
Wheel size: 27s or Sprints/700C (brake drop 62mm)
Frame tubing: Reynolds 531 double butted
    Seatpost size: 27.2mm
Carpenter frames were built in relatively small numbers in Islington (pre-war) and afterwards in Kingston-Upon-Thames - they enjoyed an enviable reputation. More details on Carpenters can be found at http://www.classiclightweights.co.uk/builders/carpenter.html This frame has fancy lugs which are not especially common on Carpenters and a lovely faux two plate fork crown with round fork blades. The rear seatstay bridge has been replaced at some time. The headset is not included - it was found to have a fault. £175
