Anyone know of people/projects giving away cycle lights?

Every so often I read that there are projects inviolving the met police and local authorites giving away cycle lights to cyclists without them so was wondering if anyone knew of any of the said projects as I'd like a set of lights.

Ive had reflective bits & bobs from both the police and the highways agency. But never seen them giving away actual lights, if they were im sure theyd be shit.

Just buy some.

jump red lights in the city make sure they send you on the avoiding going under the wheels of an HGV seminar

I put two boxes on the window edge during the day and let them fill up with light, closing them about 2 hours before sundown. Come night time I strap them to my bike and cut a little slit which allows a little light to spill out. I get about 2hrs from a box that holds space invaders.

You can get suitable boxes by asking at your local corner shop / small supermarket e.t.c.

Thats clever,gosh I just never stop learning from this forum, I have tried sellotaping candles to my bike but I spend so much time stopping to re-light them its hardly worth bothering riding at night any more so thanks for the tip Tommy

I just want freebies that my excise road tax pays for so I feel better as I'm getting value for money.
