I dont think Crucifixi is being rude he's just displaying a understanderable level of caution. You are new to the community and you want to borrow someones bike for 3 weeks, you've offered no remuneration for this and you've got nothing to prove your intentions. Whilst i'm not by any means suggesting you are, you could easily be a theif who came up the the idea of exploiting a communties good will to your own advantage. If a guy came up to you and a group of your friends in a pub and asked if he could borrow your car for a bit would you lend it too him?
No sensable person would becuase you have no idea who they are, If you were well known to people on the forum and had many friends here it would be a different matter. I would suggest that you go out and make some connections with people in the real world, earn they're trust and maybe you'll have better luck.
