I've got to shoot from EC2 to Battersea for a pickup after work - if I arrive at Southbank after 6 will it still be possible to catch up with the rest of the ride?

• #280

on a hire bike
Will you be docking it every 30 minutes and waiting 5 minutes to take another one?
-
• #282
didn't know you had to wait 5 mins?
-
• #283
oh damn. just read "Take a cycle as often as you like per access period, leaving five minutes between each trip"
-
• #284
this morn i undocked then docked and and undocked a bike a few times just to test the action and it let me... wonder if that means it's going to charge me more?!

I don't think so, it doesn't count if you don't actually remove it from the dock AFAIK. Easiest way to check is to put your dongle into one of the terminals and check your account balance, or login to the Cycle Hire website and it'll show you.

i'll have to test it again to be sure and check the billing

i totally forgot that i'd promised to help a friend move this evening, so couldn't make it.
i heard there was trouble again.. anything news worthy? -
• #291
yeah there were a lot of really aggro drivers about, some proper hating going down...
in front of buck pal i heard some bloke remark:
"i 'ope you go straight under a fahcking lorry mate... i 'ope a truck flattens yer"
and very near the end outside the foundry a waitrose lorry driver got out of his cab and took a swing at someone.
all in all though, a pleasant ride, and a pleasant route - the oxford st crowds loved it.

Sounds like a normal ride thru uptown?
nah tonight was very chilled, some angry drivers but noone knocked down, what I heard of anyway.

some dude crashed out on the last bit towards the foundry, but apart from that fairly relaxed ride. nice to say hello to a few forumgers.
-
• #294
quite a number of aggro drivers, but none of them really hit anyone i saw.
two of them splash sweet drinks towards us tho. wonder why do they all come prepared? -
• #295
you obviously didn't see the guy in a prius (ha!) who edged into a rider on roseberry ave? or the american dude in the BMW softtop on the Mall who did the same thing, and got out his car and squared up to someone, fing and blinding all over the shop.
but yeah nothing really serious, generally it was great... roll on august!
-
• #296
sounds like i missed a good one.
someone told me there were at least double the amount of riders compared to last month and that the music was consistent and good.can't wait til august.
