Cracked 2007 Condor Pista

Omgz! Possible resolution!

Same cracks appeared on my original Bowery and my previous Capo 5. Both replaced under warranty, but I think the Capo 5 had the longer manufacturer's warranty. 5 years I think it was.

It can happen, even if one is as smooth as buttah. ;)

Yep, mine cracked there too. I got full value replacement. I didn't have any documentation but I presume they have records of my purchase.

I really like the Classico that I replaced it with, but I loved the original. It was my first fixed bike and was, you know, special.

Someone mentioned a recall on this thread - seems like fair point. Anecdotally I have heard of about ten frames of 2007 vintage cracking like this in the last six months. How many more will go and who will be first to get injured by it? Perhaps we should start a thread asking owners to check their frames.

Mine was creaking for a good few weeks before I spotted the cracks.

Not clicking so much as creak. It sounded like when you need to re lube and tighten your seat post, or clamp. keep an eye out Nimby.

Yep. I took it in on Saturday and Greg explained the fault (alu shim bonded into seat tube to allow for different seat post diameters was too short) and is sorting out a replacement.

I heart Condor.
