Yes. We have our well oiled team sprint to perform :)
Bloody omnium always includes devil and points though which I have pretty much given up on this season. But I will have a look and see how I feel for all the events -

Cool - remember you don't have to do all the events. Infact, if you think you're going to come outside the top 10 in a particular race, it may be in your favor not to.

Yeah, probably good to omit your most hated event and do 4 out of the 5, as you could be saving energy for the ones you have a chance in. Good point JC and should be interesting to see how this affects people's decisions, not to mention riders jumping into various events but not completing the Omnium, mixing it up a bit.

I thought you had to complete all the events in an omnium to get any result?

Na - in tomorrows case the top 10 in each race score points. 1st place gets 10 points, 10th place gets 1 point, 11th gets 0! Most points at the end of the day wins.
I think national and international omniums give everyone a point based on their placing (1 point for 1st, 30 for 22nd), and you probably have to do every race, otherwise you mess up the points for that race. Those events however, have many judges and cameras to place every rider in a race.

Ah, gotcha. Hmm...feel unlikely to come top ten in any of those events! Ah well :)

Womens stuff is totally up in the air. If theres enough, (5 and over?) we can have separate races. If there are a couple we can have a seperate competition within the senior races.
Iain reckoned there was a good chance of a few turning up. Maybe the Mule Bar gang out in force...

sounds good, cheers. There's Lydia and maybe Anna? Hmm, that makes three...maybe some more will crawl out of the woodwork. What defines London? postcode?

This would make omnium quite interesting. someone like Miles actually have a good chance of placing fairly high over all just by doing kilo and 200, at least as good as
someone who gets 6th in all 5 races! -

Nice and prepared for tomorrow. Big steak, glass of wine and early to bed :)
-
• #19
looks like you may as well get the rest of the bottle and stay in bed, Mike. It's a bit grim down here. Hopefully/maybe it will stop & dry out.

The forecast is for it to brighten up later this morning and to be dry this afternoon.
-
• #21
It's stopped raining, as long as it keeps off it'll be dry in an hour or two...
-
• #22
lovely. I did ask Metcheck and it suggested that it would be dry with 0.1mm rain. ?!
-
• #23
The predict all preticipation so that's to cover the sweat coming off the riders during the meeting.
-
• #24
The rain is over, it doesn't start till 1430 so will be mega dry by then. Unfortunately high gusts of wind are predicted!
