Anyone who works in the oil industry / offshores in Aberdeens wages are ridiculously high. Those who aren't get fucked over - the price of renting / buying a place is definitely inflated here. My mates 20 and went offshore for the first time a couple of months ago - 24k starting wage and he's got no qualifications appart from his highers.
