London: Summer Sample Sale

Between Friday 30th and Saturday 31st July Cycle Club London will be hosting the Rapha Summer Sample Sale. End of line products, discounted items and one-off samples will be available. It's usually a survival of the fittest scenario, so get there early.

Basically you can't choose which items to buy at sample sale prices, they just stick stuff in boxes that they want to get rid of. For example, I'd really like a stowaway jacket at a massive reduction, but it just isn't going to happen

Perhaps slightly naively thought I could take my lunch hour early and pop down to this, but they were queuing down the road! Oh well who needs Rapha anyway?

Well I had the morning off so I got there at 11.........lots of good stuff there, a truckload of hats (got a gentlemans cap and winter hat for £20). Also picked up a bomber jacket for £50, a nice jersey and some bibs. All in all well worth the wait this morning

just got some caps and fixed shorts (£110 cheaper). score!

Checked it at about 1.15 and queue was still all along the side street and round the front of the building. I'll head back on way home

yep there are some womens

Loads and loads of XS and XXL stuff, lots of hats (including boxes of the Belgian winter ones), lots of Cross 3/4 bibs and some jerseys, lots of 28 inch shorts, lots of horrid blue touring shorts, few boxes of white Fixed shirts, some base layers, lots of pocket T-shirts. There were some womens things too.

Probably not worth going down just for what's left unless you're of plentiful waistline or need a hat or they restock before the morning.

Loads and loads of caps, all for £10. Stacks of x-small and xxl stuff. Lots of stock of medium, large and x-large stuff but a very limited choice, i.e. cross shorts and jerseys, pocket t-s, green fixed shorts.

Take cash, you'll be out in no time as there is only one credit/debit card machine but a whole till given over to the folding stuff.
