How to train for 24 hour ride

Come and join me on the KCA 12 hour 5th September :) Q12/3 course Tenterden area
We have entered a Catford CC team
trouble is my longest ride this year has been 70 miles so I've got to do a few longer ones, I know it's going to be painful but have to have a go at it as one of our Catford riders Peter Stubbs was knocked off and killed in May this year and he wanted to get a team in last years, none of us could do it so we were going to ride this years together, as he won't be there I have co-ersed a few others to join me and ride in his honour.
12 Hour TT for Demelza Childrens Hospice.
I think I have managed to erase the memories of pain from my mind of the 2007 24 hour, that was on 72" fixed and did 178 at the 12 hour point so that's a target as I'm older fatter less fitter.

Didn't see this FWN. Yeah, thinking about it.
There only seems to be some kind of tourist train to Tenterden though.
