  • my bike is making terrible noises. i'm not sure where from.
when i pedal with pressure, there's an awful grinding noise and a terrible vibration through the pedals. when i ease off the pressure the noise disappears and the vibration decreases.

my time atac's appear to be screwed.

i tightened the chain yesterday, but the noises started on the dunwich dynamo when the chain was considerably slacker.

when changing the rear track locknut (the nut on the inside of the track end, closest to the hub) yesterday (as they needed replacing from the weekend), i gave the wheel a spin. that too was making grim noises.

    i'm hoping that:
    1) it's not the bottom bracket working itself loose after the awesome amount of power i put through the cranks
    2) it's not the rear hub that's fuxored.

i'm hoping that it's just the pedals and that changing pedals may solve this.

    i doubt this a lot.
