• Depends which era crank, actually murtle. Presume you're talking about Nuovo Record ... If it's pre 78 (I think it is 78 anyway) you need one length, post another, to get clearance on the inner ring for the road double. Are the back ring supports still on the crank?

    Both of them are pretty long. I recall the spindle will need to be 115 for the older ones, and 112 for the later ones, to do this. I may have got this the wrong way round. I'm trying to find something on the web to confirm it. Not certain about chainlines as this is less important for gears as you know.

    Basically, suck it and see. But 107 will almost certainly be way too short.
