Good luck with the sale Elias.
Don't think my PM back to you worked. NW, hope you sort one out your size!

Did you just buy this from Hilary last week? How much for?
-

I don't know why it was sold to you as possibly being a Carlton. Given that the rivet holes for the head badge are vertical to one another. Those of a Carlton are inline horizontally.

yeah bought from Hilary literally last week for £130 including P&P, kinda wishing i hadn't though it really is too big for me... it's such eye-candy though don't think i could help myself. oh and the price i put up is pretty flexible haha i'm going on holiday in a week and would like to pawn it off before then. don't want to lose too much money in the process though so have mercy when negotiating please.
Thanks for your input Bonk i'll edit it now. any ideas what it might be instead?
Dangermouse you're a lad thanks for your help man

No idea. Wasn't trying to poo-poo the sale at all. It's worth that money, whatever it is. Good luck.

something tell me it's a John Perks frame. Don't ask me why, gut instinct kicking in i guess.

Nah thanks for the input Bonk the last thing i want is for anyone to get disappointed if they buy it just because it's a vintage Carlton.
Yeah i wasn't sure about the John Perks decals. Because it was sold as a possible Carlton i thought that they might have been from when it was resprayed at some point. But i guess that because i now know it's certainly not a Carlton, John Perks is probably a safe bet as to who the makers are... -

SOLD woop woop
SOLD
[EDIT] Apparently it's not a Carlton! Sorry, that's how it was sold to me as haha. But hey what's in a name?
Seat Tube (ctt): 60cm (23.5in)
Top Tube (ctc): 58cm (23in)
Rear dropout width: 110mm
Wheel size: 27s or 700C (brake drop 65mm)
Seatpost size: 27.2mm
A gorgeous track frame and forks (man oh man just look at those lugs) bought in a moment of insanity as it's just too big for me. It was sold to me as dating from the late 40's, early 50's with Chater Lea rear track dropouts which have had mudguard eyes added to them. The forks may have been added on at a later date (they are of a more modern style than the frame).
Some rust poking through the pearly white paint but the frame seems sound. A real bargain buy if you're looking for a nice frame with track dropouts.
£SOLD picked up from London; dibs and PM to arrange time and place.
