My Peugeot HLE + 103 have standard British threads and 68mm BB shell width. I use a 107mm cartridge in both, that gets the chainline nice and straight and allows a 53 tooth chainring without hitting the chainstay.
Check which way the fixed side BB cup unscrews with a big adjustable spanner, if it unscrews clockwise then it's likely to be British and you can use whatever cheapy cartridge you want of ebay (Acor are £11). If it unscrews anti-clockwise then it's French, and I'm out of ideas.
