Aldeburgh would be a nice place to stay. They've got the best fish and chips there :)
Other places in the area worth checking out for B&Bs would be Orford (check out the Castle and the smokehouse)

or if you want to go a bit more inland, Woodbridge (plenty of pubs and the added bonus of a train service that goes direct to Liverpool street)
