Evans don't do the cycle scheme, they operate their own 'ride to work' scheme.
Huh?
Is there a difference?
(i'd assume from the op that his work is using the Evans one?)

Sorry not cycle to work - Evans own Ride To Work Scheme...
After a Cannondale Hooligan... Would like a tough chuckabout adult bmx with some gears to add to the stable.. -

Would the scheme work with discount bicycle?
to be honest, the old stock is more or less likely to be the same as the new stock, with a different paintjob and whatnot.
When I want to buy the Kona Smoke, I end up getting the last year model as it the same as the current model at the time abet different decal, but £100 less.

new season starts always in september. then you could expect first models in 1-2 months

I can enlighten you this much. Their sale starts in the last 2weeks of August. New stock will start to filter in from the beginning of September. cannondales can be expected in November, though if this year is anything to go by, then February, June or never could be more realistic...

Anyone work at Evans or works within the industry know?
I'm on a Cycle to Work Scheme at work, but all the 2010 bikes i'm interested have all sold out. Has there been a shortage of bikes this year?I had the exact same issue I just recently arranged for my ride to work voucher and then found just a good 50-70% of all the bikes are showing out of stock 10-14 days. When I spoke to thier head office (number is on the voucher) they informed me they will not be ordering any of these bikes in (unless high damand if the bike is still available) as the new 2011 ranges are due beginning of september and should be on their on their site near the end of August.
Because of this I have returned my voucher for a credit and will reapply for a new one around that date.

Oh you don't seem to be able to edit your own posts

Yes they do, it's the exact same scheme under the exact same government conditions. They are registered under the Green Transport Plan just for some reason they have decided to call their scheme "ride to work" and not "cycle to work"

Popped into London bridge branch last night cos they were open. Jason and Martin were very helpful and dropped everything to make my bike safe for human consumption again. Cheers fellas!
Why don't Condor stay open later? Evans was doing a roaring trade after 7pm.

Does anyone here work for Evans?
I've got a Bianchi frame that I think might be cracked, never bought it in Evans got it in a running/tri shop that now don't sell bikes. Would I be able to take it back to Evans even though I never got it there?
-
• #490
yeah of course you would
-
• #491
I'm sure they'd deal with the warranty side of things if you have proof of purchase, they will likely charge for possibly admin and deffinately any stripping and rebuilding of the frame.

I like Evans. They sold me an air-horn. It be loud. And they've sold me numerous other shit.
There are times when I want to work there, because some of the sales staff are so rubbish, I feel like I could make a fortune in commission.

Evans does have one big FAIL in my book - bike shops need to smell of oil!

If you're shopping at Evans online - be sure to type in 'SKYRIDE' as a promo code to get 15% off all accessories until the end of the month.
-
• #498
or just get them to price-match the lowest price you can find like normal people do every day of the year
-
• #499
Still 15% is a good deal...
-
• #500
doubt it'll beat the price match if you google carefully first
