  • Whilst I agree with the last sentiment that, indeed, we are living in an imperialistic corporate age, where corporations are more powerful than governments and seek to exploit all and sundry for their own greed, you really have to chill about the whole advertising/sponsorship thing.

    The way I look at it is this: Hahahaha the idiots just gave us loads of money cus they think having their logo splashed about a bit more will make me buy their products.

    Just make informed choices guys.

    Think about it another way. What the fuck have Barclays got to do with biking? Nothing. Will more cyclists bank with Barclays because of it? Nope.

    Would the superhighways/bike hire scheme ever launched without corporate sponsorship? Nope. If it wasn't barclays blue it could be t-mobile pink or intel blue.

    Its either that or higher taxes. Woo.
