  • Get some cone spanners of the appropriate size (best to take hub to a bike shop to check the size), grease, degreaser (GT85, white spirit, etc), and some rags. Put something on the floor so that you won't lose all the bearings when you remove the axle. Open it up, hope that the bearing races are still good, clean, regrease, put it all back together again. Easy!!

    Somewhere like the Park Tools website has probably got a nice easy guide to doing this with pics.
