i reckon the route is fine for fixed, pretty much flat till bamburgh then a few small hills.
singlespeed and big tyres are probs a good idea but i did it fixed 23c fine.

for anyone else, i got my ticket for the train back on sunday. 20:43 from berwick, bike space booked also.
there is another train at 21:44 incase there are no bike spaces left

oh right yeah, i got it from eastcoast. you select what ticket you want and that, then the next page there is a tiny little button saying, 'book a space for bikes' or something.

Yup. Bought mine online last night. Today I saw the weather forecast for the weekend. Ho-hum, at least the wind is gonna be in the right direction.

Oh, and my Ofmega chainset arrived today. Fuggin gorgeous!!! Frame has been stripped, rubbed down and primed, ready for topcoat tomorrow. Still in with a chance it'll be ready for Sunday if there are no hiccups with the build.
