brilliant stage, walked down to watch them riding in in formation then went home to watch the sprint on the telly.

Cavendish is amazing, there must be something in the water on that little island.

It was amazing ... final seconds ... I was saying to Pifko ... where is Cav and just as I was finishing that line I see the HTC colours sprint past everyone else ... they had to resort to a helicopter shot to keep up with him ... amazing.

Man! A place on the podium just missed ;( Should register in time next year! Fucked up my transfers a fair bit. Ooh la la c'est la vie.

All round a pretty good few weeks distraction. Schleck will be a the contender to beat next year again, and Cav seems to have righted himself so who knows...

I got to catch the first spin through in Paris. I was stood next to the golden statue of Joan of Arc just down from the Place de la Concorde. I must say it was a long wait but quite worth it in the end, even if it was for 10 seconds of seeing them ride past.

Apparantly I promised to get a job once the Tour's over. Damn.

He's probably celebrating the fact that he's only got to ride one more race this season. I wish I could be on £800,000 a year and only race from February to the end of July.

Hey Will, thanks again for the tip on location. We did end up on the wall by the ferris wheel and it was a good spot, got there at about 1pm though really we could have arrived after the "caravane" (i.e. around 3) as a lot of people shuffled around then, and we could have skipped the corporate sponsorship bullshit.

Was fairly fun, boring and exciting in equal measures though. I'm just now watching footage of the finish as there was no way I was gonna sit in the Champs Elysees all day just to get a good spot.

This is one of my favourite shots, I think it's the front of the pack on the next to last lap though I don't remember exactly.

i doubt Cav would have looked so relaxed if he had lost the stage... just saying.
