You can remove classifieds from searches by selecting "(no prefix)" in the 'Find Threads with Prefix' list on the left.
This is one of the reasons I berate people who create classified posts with no prefix - it fucks people's ability to remove ads from useful searches. -

Short answer don't. I used a Bagaboo Workhorse (i.e. a pac made in hungary for all means and purposes) for 2 years, until my upper back started killing me. I moved to a chrome warsaw and the pain is gone. Get a new backpack.
Do not HTFU for body pain unless you like permanent damage.

I've got a Belk XL Tech, like the one below (this one's cohen's) but in black... I've got a very dodgy back/neck and I'm fine with it... Chat to snoops or hassanr (for they are Belk) or archies grobags and they may be able to help you out... They both make beautiful backpacks too...

Its a good question. The best person to answer it is probably Scott_not_Scot, and maybe in one of his giuses, he will. I'm pretty sure that there isn't anyone on this forum that knows more about courier bags than he.
Till then, maybe a compromise courier, that is like a rucksack, but of courier quality? Mission Workshop have a beautiful one.
EDIT: Teenslain beat me to it. Anyway, check the Courier Bags List thread.

Many thanks.... sounds like stick to backpacks and will follow up with a Belk or Archies

I recommend you get some panniers. Seriously.

Just ordered a Tech Backback from Belk. They're the way forward for bad backs.

I never understand why a courier style bag is preferable to a rucksack - unless you need to carry really large parcels, i find a rucksack is far comfier.
Mind you the Panniers suggesion is the one i would go with, i hate cycling with any sort of bag
Having previously used rucksacs, I was thinking of getting a decent courier bag (such as a PAC) to accommodate larger items easily - I have a suspect neck/shoulders and wondered whether using an x-strap, the load is spread adequately? Thanks in advance and yes I did UTFS... but only came up with classifieds
