It's Faris from the Horrors. Nice chap, very tall.
Lived above my pub for a while when they were recording the preliminary stuff for their latest album and the first few Spider and the Flies tracks in the studio next door.
Peaches Geldorf was his gyal of the moment, but I wasn't working when she came to call. Such a pity.

Nah nah nah, just the pub that I've been drinking and working at for way too many years. I've got a bit possessive about it. It's attached to a club and a studio, so loads of half decent bands come through.
EEI, don't get any ideas, the pubs in Bath. Bit of a long ride for a free pint.

Brilliant, 100 weirdos walk by, I lose my rag and take a photo of the 101st and now I'm a pap.

You loser for taking that photo. It's just a guy in some tight jeans. Get over yourself.
Get over myself? I'm not the one wearing leggings, winkle pickers and holding Dr Doolittle's medical equipment.
I was the guy sitting on steps waiting for a job texting a friend about how much I hate the Hoxton Hipsters. Opportunity knocked and I bagged a "famous" one.

Can't speak for everyone, but in my case: He's an unfunny megalomaniac who's popularity seems to be entirely manufactured and dependent on him being risqué, but he ultimately fails at even that. His "comedy" seems to be little more than him commenting on things that are usually already funny, and therefore coasting on the laughter of that.
On another note, my cousin has been ill for about 5 years now, possibly with ME but still not fully diagnosed as doctors are confused by other symptoms that are present or summat.
anyway i think the story is a year or 2 ago russell was doing a show that she had tickets to, but she fell very ill and had to miss it. as it happened he was in york a few weeks later so they got tickets for that, she wrote to him saying something like missed you last time really looking forward to catching you this time (she's a bit of a geek) possibly asking for a signed photo? well low and behold russel replies to her, includes requested photo, also invites her to come back stage after the show she was attending so she could get to meet him.
So he may well come accross as an annoying prick to some but i bet there aren't many celebs that would go out of there way to do a good deed like that, least of all comics.

there was also that time he helped a lady who'd fallen over, (though it was a shitty GMTV nonsence shit article on how people no longer stop and help each other) he was the only one who helped,

Yar, well at least the Porter, which is the pub next to it. I've worked in Moles now and again too, and I mooch around the studio some times. It's alright!
You from the SW?

No, but have done a couple of gigs there and some engineering in the studio (back in the day!)
That looks a heck of a lot like a handbag to me.
