Hobo, Your bike is so beautiful that I'm basing my next project on it.

  • I woke up this morning, drunk, and I couldn't find my bike. I think i left it outside when I got home. If you see a grey Tifosi with a rack on it, it's mine :(

  • Oh Owen! I hope it finds its way back to you.

  • I might have left it at a friends house in fitzrovia but then that doesnt explain how i got home. I'm sure i would have remnembered gettin a bus

  • Oh, Owen ...

  • bike is safe

  • I saw a tandem being ridden across clapham common yesterday, it stuck in my head because I can't recall seeing a tandem for ages... wasn't close enough see bike or riders in detail but I guess it's possible that it was yours and it's still in South London area.

Sorry that that's not more helpful.

Hello, i don't have a picture, but some arse just stole my green Twin-Twenty tandem bike, from the peckham area. : ( it's a bit like a raleigh shopper but a tandem version, dark vibrant, emerald green, 'twin' and 'twenty' are written on the seatposts. I will try and find a photo as soon as i can, but I only just got it so I haven't taken any.

please if anyone knows anything i'll be so happy.

  • I saw the blonde pony tail guy on the orange Klein 10 mins ago. Shoreditch high st en route to bishopsgate. I turned and chased when I realized what I had seen bit he dissappeared. He is wearing a red tshirt and shorts today.

  • Look like the bike now 'belong' to that bloke then.

won't be long before someone nabbed him, at least i hope.

  • That looks like an alloy seat post not carbon

    so?

  • I had my 27" wheels stolen last night on Colombia Road... Gutted. At least they didn't rinse the whole lot... They're pretty recognisable if anyone sees anything - 32h Miche low flange hubs, Jalco Aero rims (look like Mavic Aeros) and 1 1/4 white 27" tyres.

    so?

Because that clearly shows that the so-called "owner" of the bike, doesn't even know the difference between alloy and carbon - which says its suspect.......especially when its about his own seatpost.

sorry, didnt read the gumtree. i thought you were making derogatory comments about a perfectly good seatpost.

  • Bury St Edmunds is a dump. It's where I went to skool.

  • Couple of quite/highly distinctive bikes for youse to look out for, stolen from our building last night.

My wife's small, green and purple Vicious Cycles mtb. I've only seen one other Vicious Cycle in London, but this has the added distinction of her name on the top tube: Lisa Rosevear.

My rattle-can-sprayed red Raleigh singlespeed still has the black headtube and badge, but that's less of a concern.

If you see either, please give me a call (07743 490 759) or email (jfldevaney@gmail.com).

    Thanks in advance.

  • Friends bike Just stolen about 20 minutes ago from Leyland DIY shop in Dalston. It was unlocked but inside.

I think the shop has CTTV and I have just reported it to police, but could you keep your ears and eyes open for me.

It is a MBK pink/white/grey frame, fixed/free rear wheel on the freewheel side with pink tyres. It has white drop handlebars which have been repaired with black tape.

most obviously the crank arms are different chrome on one side, black on the other.

if you see it DM me or email robin@spacehijackers.org

  • unbelievably i saw the cock on the orange stolen klein again last night heading north on kingsland around 7:40. the tramp always wears the same outfit

Sorry for the late reply.....saw him also just before I went away for two weeks - incommunicado in France - and gave chase (posted deets on here, etc). The fucker is on Kingsland Rd all the time but I can't seem to lock him down to any pattern of times or dates. Glad it keeps getting spotted but I need to find a new bike to give chase on before I have any chance of getting it back. If you see it locked up add another and feel free to take the wheels (quick release!) and leave my number. Bought from Brick Lane so they KNOW it's stolen.

Thanks man, he's inevitably going to find out at some point!

  • Bike stolen about 10 pm tonight on hermitage road by a young guy, black, wearing a red hat.

It's a grey GT mtb frame with track ends welded on to the frame, grey Kona P2 fork and seatpost, all black components. The photo is old, it now has a BMX stem and bars.

£100 cash reward for anyone who finds it.

    Thanks,

  • Did you get bike-jacked? Dude that's harsh!

  • blimey, i love that bike, it is pretty recognisable, hope you get it back, John

  • I was at Brick Lane market this morning. While the police dealt with one guy who'd just bought back his stolen bike, a couple of very dodgy blokes were doing a deal on what looked to be a stolen Charge Plug around the corner. I asked the policewoman why they couldn't do anything more to stop the obvious trade in stolen bikes that goes on at Brick Lane. She told me that they can't do anything unless they can prove that the person selling the bike knows it is stolen, and that because that is so difficult to prove the CPS are unwilling to put cases through to court. She admitted that the situation was 'shit'. Thoroughly depressing.

  • The police could go at them from a different angle like not having street trading licences.

You need a licence to trade from the street http://www.hackney.gov.uk/em-licence-street-trading-400.htm they don't have them so cannot trade. Shut down the operation this way. Although this will never happen due to 'resources and man power' etc

Even if the CPS wont charge surely the police can retain goods believed to be stolen until they the seller can prove it belongs to them (I might be mistaken).

At least the Police could be down there with a list of stolen bikes every Sunday making these fuckers lives difficult turning frames over checking serial numbers etc.

The whole thing is such a joke bike crime will never be reduced when know hot spots like Brick Lane are allowed to thrive.

  • Ok so I am a long time lurker first time poster..

Today my partner's and my bikes both got stolen, they were locked up securely with 2 abus £80 D locks.. so angry! I let my partners friend borrow my bike, they were locked next to a cafe on the regents canal whilst my partner and friend had a coffee. Mine is a 2009 dark red charge plug freestyler with green rims, looks the same as OTP except I changed the saddle to a specialised body geo one. The other bike was a xs grey fuji feather, no changes from new. My partner went straight to London fields to see if they were being sold there with no luck.

It sucks as I'd only yesterday practiced my route to work and I was going to start cycling tomorrow! I can't post in the classifieds section as I'm still in the nursery but if anyone has a cheap beater (ss not fixed) that I could buy for around £100 I would be very interested. I'm not fussed as long as it gets me from A-B I'm a girl and 5'7, my charge was a size small.
