guilty as charged, i'm just lazy about retensioning my chain. although the pain of snapped locknuts is becoming a much greater pain.

I bought one in Condor, they charged me a quid - seemed reasonable!

I went into my local bike shop with my wheel and said do you have any nuts to fits this thread. He produced a pack of 2 beefy ones for 2.50 this is in a village outside of leeds so if I can get lucky first time it can't be that hard!

i'm guilty of net shopping but i've recently started trying to send business his way, he's a mile away and seems an alright guy. Upmarket shop, generally a bit more expensive than the web, so still get pricey stuff online. I build my own bikes but its handy to have someone with all the tools and know how near by that's willing to help if i need it.
SUPPORT YOUR LBS!
should get that printed on a tshirt
if not, chain reaction seem to have everything under the sun, free next day delivery and helpful customer service. parker international are good too but £3.95 for postage!!! regardless!

maybe you are not as strong as the bigger boys on this forum?
I certainly bajesus mine, I use a high quality ring spanner and stand on it!

Huh?
I thought you were supposed to tighten the bajesus out of them.I tighten them enough that my wheel won't move forward on a hard start.
I use a Jethro Tule so only have about 5-10cm of leverage on the nuts.
If you're doing shit like jumping on 10" wrenches to tighten your tracknuts you're probably going too far. -

I produce 2000W and yet am still in touch with my feminine side. That is why the ladies are all over me.
