BUMP
I've got some carbon forks that need doing.
Anyone used armourtex for this? I read that Atlantic Boulevard did good stuff but its in the back of beyond.

I'd have a look at post number 4 up there^. Don't Armoutex bake the frame/fork? Doesn't sound like something you would want to do to carbon? let alone sandblast it first.

they do wet spraying too, or so they're website says. as long as they use the right paint (from what i can gather you need to use the right paint other wise it can effect the carbon's strength). I'll email armourtex and see what they say..

Right I spoke to Armoutex who said they'll do it for £50 in black, it'll take them about 2 weeks, one week to actually do with another week of cureing.
Atlantic Boulevard on the other hand said they'll do it for £45 but it'll only take a week, when i asked him about cureing he said they'd be dry in 24 hours.
As a punt i also tried argos in brisol, they said it would be £85 and i'd have to wait a month before they could do them...so fuck thatJudging by the vast quantity of good work armoutex have done i'll go for them.
apparently they sand off the old laquer and decals, then use the previous finished surface as a base to work off.

Bump, anyone have recent experience of getting a carbon frame painted? I have a frame where much of the lacquer has been removed so it should be a less labour intensive process, but if anyone can recommend where they have had good results (and might be willing to negotiate price if I've done a lot of the prep) that would be good
