Checking out the Evans sale for a new geared machine. I know little about 'proper' road bikes but £1,600 for an ultegra pro model sounds prety decent to me. I am aware however that the Fulcrums on it are a bit cheap.
What's your experience of the SLX (Race master) vs. the SL (Road racer)?

Also, what's all this I'm hearing about SRAM systems. Would I be better swapping out shimano for a SRAM rapid and getting some $$$ back?
