Well, I have an old Chorus crankset that can be use if I install the newer chainring from an 2009 groupset, there's no reason why it shouldn't work, I've asked a while ago, but end up getting an ultra torque crankset for surprisingly little.
If you're going for a campag build, let me know, I can sell you the chorus crankset for little.
