  • nice 'work' if you can get it.... doctorates? dissertations? whats the subject yuore studying?
I am seriously interested in this actually, having been to Sweden and one of those people that gets paid to promote cycling and always bangs on about Scandanavia.
Didnt ride bikes when I was there however, wil be keen to read what will be sociological observations, btw, its true what they say about the women.

"work"? It's not like we're getting paid! To be honest we have a page for donations for the filming part, but everything else we are paying for ourselves. 30% of donations go to charity (details here). Actually I've been overwhelmed by people's generosity in lending us 2 students a camera and a laptop!

Who pays you to promote cycling and is there any chance of getting a mention about what we are doing?

I (Hacon) am a law graduate, and my buddy Steve a geography graduate. There is more information about us on the "Team" page!

*m.f the land of Equality sure ;) more like Animal Farm.

but you have to love it.

traveling on Bikes is easy as the Swedes decided to separate bikes and "cars" as much as they can.

but watch out if you cycle on the road.

That is just bizarre and frustrating. I had to mention this in the blog so thanks for bringing it up!

Saw a couple of different perspectives a few months back.

Watched a Jamie Oliver show where he was in Sweden (yes I know!) and it came across as a great place (in an obvious socialist bent)
Then saw a program about a mens synchonised swimming team and it gave it a different light. They all seemed to have a downbeat/depressed air about them which seemed contrary to the Oliver show which may have focus on the good!

Didn't see the Jamie Oliver show, but yes Stockholm is a buzzing town so I'm quite excited to start here! I did see the synchronised swimming that was both tragic and hilarious. Really an odd outlook on life, in that they are so happy with their way of life that the most stress they have is paying for an IKEA kitchen?! must be just his perspective!

We're also on twitter, and facepage where I hope I can get some discussions going!

Any other ideas on how to promote the blog a bit?

    Cheers for your thoughts guys.
