Hand-builts (if the builder is good) will generally outlast factory built wheels.
Stuff like Ksyriums are heavily machined and use alu nipples onto alu spokes = oxidization = expensive truing job.
Obviously you can spec. exactly what you want with hand built wheels.
Factory built wheels look flash.
