  • eingang, sorry for this massive quiestionnaire :) but how tall are you and what's the ctt os the seattube? also, is that some sort of "standard" dodici frameset or was it custome made? cheers

  • finished today. now ready for the 1.500km to barcelona.

    Gorgeous job mate!! Enjoy it!

  • Well I'm glad to hear that mate, it would be pretty crazy to ride that much miles without even a whiff of a saddle bag!

good luck on the long journery.

  • @scorch: seattube: 61 (c/c), toptube 60 (c/c) (custom order)

@ed: we have a huge van for all our stuff!

  • there're only 4 frames pictured on the blog. what are the other two guys ridin?

  • are you using the bike as is, or swapping for clipless pedals?

  • Are you going to use the hipster cyst for the 1500km ride??

  • @scorch: the others riding only parts due to some knee problems, driving the van or documentating the tour (photo+video)

@t4003: I've never ridden a bike with clipless pedals, so i won't change to it 2 days before we start. i know that clipless is better, next time

  • Yeah cantilevers are literally homosexual. You want to stay away from cyclocross races if you're a pretty boy, I'll tell you that.

Note to self: start riding cyclocross.

  • enjoy the ride! @eingang

  • That looks ace. What frame is it?

ta, It's a saracen chromo-steel thing I got from ebay for £45. Got it sprayed up flat red and looks alot more expensive now. Spent more than I wanted on the parts but it should ride ok hopefully

P.S. I wont be doing cyclocross races on it! I am far to camp(and unfit/unskilled) for that to be honest

  • I like this a lot... + nuknow's ride is sweeet too.

  • finished today. now ready for the 1.500km to barcelona.

Love it. (Would be my choice of frame colour also) The frame is a custom size but not style. It's a Special.

  • cheers mate, was this frame on your short list? (genuine question)

  • From no bikes to two! It has been a good day.

  • liking the race bike!!

very nice, im currently saving up for my special almost there now.

  • yeah i'd like to know that aswell
    really nice looking bar/stem combo

3ttt stem, 3ttt Competizione Gimondi bars.

@ nuknow are those Kenda (kwik track) tyres? 32s?

Conti Contact 28c, it will take up to 32c though(t).

  • Anyone know who manufactures the Dodici frames? Deda?

  • ow man thats beautiful whats under the bonnet? ztec?..A series?

A-series 1275 John Cooper Works S... Haven't done anything with it under the bonnet yet other than a Millenium twin DTM upswept exhaust system... Planning to maybe add an Eaton supercharger or if I really go crazy it'll be a 2litre Civic Type R engine... Kind of don't want to lose the A -series seeing as it is factory works...

Going to swap out as much of the bodywork as I can for CF to try and shed a few kilos, no need for more power if you can lose some weight off it...

  • Anyone know who manufactures the Dodici frames? Deda?

I sure, there hand made in Italy and its cheaper to get them shipped over rather then going to TFG who stock the Gara and special framesets
