I understand the parts have a lot of value, perhaps it would be worth more parted out. Personally, I think either people buying second hand or the second hand market (i.e sellers) have gone a little overboard.

Agreed that it is stunning, but will anyone here buy it, rather than just comment on it's lovelyness?. That is the question.

No...the question is, how much would a bike like this cost you to build...? Having see the bike in the flesh, and seen the attention to detail...and seen most of the people that walk past it trip up...or point and look, (even the girls...!)....this is where the money comes in...it would cost you a damned site more to build such an exquisite thing....part it out? eaten cooked meat lately?

I'd say you try and get as good a bike new....no matter second hand for less than a grand?

Pop yourself to Mercian and see how much a bike like this would cost you to assemble, and then pop along to Bob J's while you're at it...and then when you get back off the floor...you can say what a pretty bike and it's quite reasonable at that too...
