I think it's salvagable. Take it to Halfrods and get a new chain - they might be able to put a few more spokes in your wheels aswell.

I was actually thinking about your bike this morning. I've seen a similar frame for sale I tried to visualise the build.
Scott, are you sure you don't want a some form of a group investment from the forum members and keep that beautiful bike?
By the way, if this frame is 56cm centre to centre, what's the actual length of the seat tube? Would the bike suit someone who normally rides 56cm or rather someone over 6'?

The actual C to T is 62, but the bike is still closest to a 56 square as the top tube slope is very gentle.
As for group investment...nice offer, but i need to sort my own shit out.
I never really deserved the frame anyway, or the person who bought it for me.It's time i grew up and faced my responsibilities for once in my life.

Not fair. Anyone know how to make a grand really quickly? First the colnago dream, now this, why don't you lot wait until I have money before selling such nice bikes.

I know, but you'd need to get a bandit hat.
But seriously, anybody can stretch enough to get it. I don't think I will see a grand before August :-/
I'm sure the bike as a whole is well worth it. -

i would take it COC tonight but im pretty sure the misses would leave me. kinda seems worth it tho. ;)
