    Wasn't sure where to post this but it's work and it's paid so, it's kind of a job. Received from an old staff member today:

    Hi,
    I am a casting director and currently looking for Dads to do a shoot for an Allianz Insurance campaign next week.

    The shoot will take place one afternoon in London, with a fee of £700 for anyone used.

    We are looking for a man between 25-45 who has a small baby daughter, or toddler to do the shoot with him.

  • A South London performing arts company working with visually impaired performers are creating a new piece involving tandems. They are looking for a confident female cycleist to front ride in a team of other tandems.

    You will be expected to attend 3 rehearsals that will take place in Lambeth during the last week of August and the 1st week of September and be available for the performance in central London on Saturday 4 September.

    You will be paid for this work, the amount will depend on funding allocation for the project

    You will be confident and patient, at ease around people with disabilities and have good bike handling skills.

  • Anyone got the inside scoop on anything in educational/science editing/publishing? (5 years, digital/print/animations/video/events, project management). I'm already looking in the usual places, but only finding dull commercial agency work, which is what I'm trying to break out of at the moment.

    This is more urgent now, the company that I work for are now in the process of fundamentally changing my role, and I want out asap. If anyone hears of anything please let me know, cheers.

    The Instructor Bookings Administrator (maternity cover post) involves booking Cycle Training UK’s instructors into work across London according to the type of work, location, skills of the instructor and other logistical considerations. You will also be responsible for monitoring instructors’ workload, assessing instructor feedback, assisting with various elements of professional development, communicating Instructor availability to the project management team and dealing with last minute arrangements and troubleshooting.

    Applicants must have a good eye for detail, ability to prioritise, have previous experience of working with Excel and Databases, have a confident and friendly phone manner and be able to troubleshoot under time pressured situations

    You should be a regular urban cyclist and either be a qualified National Standards cycling instructor (desirable) or have a good understanding of what this job entails. You should have previous experience of professional development processes and be able to start on or before September 1st.
