thanks man!
yeah ive been messing around with producing my own stuff for a while now, but id really like to get involved with something a bit more live and hands on... and using ableton as a DAW lends itself so well to this kind of application!

Nice work elkie,
I think we are mostly all naive fumbler's, well at least I am. Back when I was in sixth form (like 2001) I would use the PC's there to try and knock beats together. I liked the grime sound, but also triplet delay, buzzy bass & reverb. Some of the bits I knocked together actually sound a lot like this dubstep stuff. Although I hadnt actually been exposed to dubstep till recently. I used to play around with similar rhythms on drumkit too, with added reverb unit it sounded pretty sick.
DFP, I'll have you know I slay kittens and old people with the 4 string axe. seinfeld theme got nothing on me....Also if you were in 6th form in 2001 (assuming you there aged 17/18) that makes you 26/27, didnt realise you were that old, thought you were younger.

I play bass and would love a little rev up, preferably in a 3 piece (as I like to get busy sometimes)....but it has to be along the following guidelines as I am really busy with work and family.
Location : The Premsis or somewhere very close
Style: Stoner rockish with a dose of old school thrown in, if I name check a few bans you'll get the idea, Them Crooked Vultures, Cream, Clutch, QOTSA, Hendrix etc.
Has to be a week night too. I have limited BV's, think Cross Town Traffic.
I've got a few different Basses to play with, a very old framus, warwick 5 string and a double bass (in devon but I can get it if neccessary) and I love my bass overdrive pedal.
Anyone interested?

Dan? Ill give you my drumkit if you want it.

• #46
don't know any spaces. muthers studio is still surely the best bet?

...from the depths!
I just spanked 275 big ones on a mini electric drumkit (snare+bass+ride/closed hi-hat). Going to collect this week some time. It even has a little monitor, so I can play at socially acceptable volume levels. Anyone (that I know) want to jam?
I'm just listening to drukqs and thinking: this would be good... Is anyone on here Aphex Twin?
-
• #48
that would depend on what style you want to jam with..and my electro seriously needs a re string and better machine heads...they are total shat for a fender..
-
• #49
I'm in. But strictly play a psch-funk-grunge-offbeat sound. I can sing and rap too

I keep myself to Neue Deutsche Härte, you know Rammstein and all that
