It isn't general anaesthetic, it just sedation, so you're still conscious, but yeah the dentist seemed to imply it wasn't worth it. 40 mins is about the limit of what i could bear though.
If it doesn't hurt it doesn't hurt I guess, but I'll sleep on it. Thanks for advice again.
I've had a lot of work done over the past year- two teeth that were broken off flush with the gum line had to have the roots dug out, then once the bone healed I had metal pegs screwed into the sockets.
Also inlays/major fillings to a large percentage of my teeth.
Everything (bar the original wiring up of my broken jaw) was done with local anaesthesia, just make sure that you go to a dentist that you are happy with.
