Lolz. We won't be seeing you in the Dragon's Den any time soon then!
If you do ever want to talk about investors, I'd love to have a chat with you. I know this lawyer called Clive O something that I reckon we could wheedle some cash out of...
Could we set up forum microlending?
Forum members agree to lend a small amount (maximum £25?) Scott then pays back the loan over say a year, interest free? If we can get enough people it could help scott bulk buy some materials and get himself on better footing* In the unlikely event things don't go as planned we've only lost £25.
*Scott, sorry if this sounds condescending, I just see this as a great opportunity for the forum to support a good business and a good person.

Micro-financing for the win.
If the IDB can do it in Bangladesh, we can bloody well do it here.
Don't consider it an issue of blame Scott. If I had the creativity and ingenuity of you at Grobag towers, I'd be proud to be considered a fuck-up. You've got a great product range that a lot of people are interested in and want to pay for.
Getting it off the ground is/was always going to be a challenge.
I remember the early days of this thread when you were fishing the forum for ideas.
To my knowledge (though please correct me if I'm wrong) you've never really made a large scale attempt at it all? You said what you wouldn't do for 2 grand.. I don't know how much you'd make but I know you've got £75 so far in just a few minutes if you want... And if I know even a tiny bit about the sorts on The Forum, you've got a great, resourceful base to start from.
My opinion: Definitely an idea worth pursuing to really kick the project into gear.

Fair play Scott. Much respect to you for doing things your way.
And, What a Forum!
Good, good people!...but please stop interrupting the man, I want my bloody Saddlebag :) -

In that case get off the bloody forum and start sewing :)

From what we read here though it seems like you got a strong line of bags coming up. Perhaps that will free up time from prototyping and give you more time for production? That means you can take more orders on here, then expand as much as you like. More bags made = more money in your pocket = hopefully less troubles for you?
(saying that, i make more money than I ever dreamt of, and it doesn't make any massive difference for my happiness) ((though it's nice to be able to do things on a whim and not worry too much about paying rent))

I was going to post a pic of my new saddle bag filled to the brim ready for my tour (starting tomorrow morning), but I'm too tired! I'll post pics when I'm back.
Really worried that I've overfilled it though....

It's definitely solid, I've got loads packed in there. I think the the 2 top straps could do with being pulled tighter, but I'm worried about breaking the buckles. The seat stay straps are nice and tight, so's the top middle strap....

If there are any left; I will take one!

I'm very tempted by a big saddlebag. Is it too late to order one?
