The key advice missing here is to remove your battery (obviously remove a power supply cord too) before putting it somewhere to dry.
Also, the longer it is allowed to dry without power, the better. Moisture can hang around for over a week and will permanently damage the board if the moisture shorts something because of power heading where it shouldn't.
