really far off, but i'm after a leather card / notes holder that will last me a lifetime, could you do me one?
-
• #3
Almost certainly, will drop me a PM with rough dimensions etc

Yes, Tiswas, Its high quality high density grain leather, these bags above are guaranteed for life, so there is no point using shitty stuff for them :)

I can have a look into it, I'm not sure how durable it would be but I will put my thinking cap on.

I know this is a request for interest thread, but just out of interest, how much for the 3rd one shown above? Dimensions please?
Thanks,

Very interested here - but of course depends a little on price - any estimates you can give?
Also would be more interested if you can get a rough match with Brooks brown and Brooks honey, but clearly am being a little picky here...

i've been thinking about getting someone to make me a satchel like bag but with the extra strap like on a messenger bag. that would be amazing. something that looks quite like 1&2... perhaps the buckles wouldnt work though...
I'd be interested in a quote for that... ta

Thanks guys, just wanted to gauge some interest, which there seems to be plenty of, will get back to people that have specific requests, and see what we can do!
@ Deam - Thankyou :)
@ coventryeagle - The black bag is £1250, this is due to the silver buckles, so would be much cheaper with standard base metal ones, which is what I was thinking for panniers etc
@ elwigleeno - It really depends on the sort of things you want and how many pockets etc you would want, Im guessing a couple of full on panneiers with internal dividers built in zipped saftey poackets and external pockets might be a few hundred.
@ VanDamage - Im sure we could work something out, drop me a pm if you have any images of what your after in mind
@ Doc si - im sure we can come to some sort of arrangement that saves you money, If you have any images of rings you and your partner might like then we can start from there. When is the big day?
Thanks,
David

Can't say I did not see that pricetag coming. Really lovely looking and I am sure they are indeed beauties in flesh (skin???) :)
If ever the cash arises to indulge I will give you a PM, would prefer something custom as compared to the LV and Gucci that you can spot almost anywhere.
How much cheaper if they were bronze/stainless steel buckles?
Talking about silver, I might have some old silver at home (Malaysia), will take come pics of them when I am back next year. Maybe a trade of some sorts? My old silver for your well crafted leather? :)

Yeah- I' sure we could come to some sort of arrangement, happy to do deals etc trade for bike parts or whatever. With base metal buckles you would be talking £375, as the buckles really are the cream on the cake so to speak !
Thanks for the compliments!

£1250? I'll have two plus have a tip for the delivery boy.
How much to customise my ex-Royal Mail dirtbag with rotting Scotch Egg bits and loose A-Z atlas pages in the bottom?

Lol, Having sold 7 of these I don't even feel the need to try and explain.
Thanks for the bumps :)
(think I could probably sort that customisation out for you for about £300 I charge by the hour)

Thanks, its clearly two seperate markets Just was mainly wondering if there would ever be the call for high end level hand made panniers etc .
Obviously there are going to be people that laugh at this sort of thing and think its crazy but there are lots of people out there who appreciate hand made custom made items. And appreciate the ammout of time effort and training that goes into making this sort of thing.
If you ever want to do a collaboration Archie, let me know :)

I have full appreciation for the time and effort that goes into making anything by hand. Especially where sewing is concerned, and especially when it's one person doing every single aspect of it from marking the fabric to sewing the last stitch.
I just wish i could charge based on the hours spent designing, sourcing materials, dealing with suppliers, marking, cutting, sewing etc. :[It's depressing for me to see designer handbags, made in a factory in a couple of hours, from materials that are less appropriate and less hardwearing, and with less thought put into the design, then sell for hundreds or thousands of pounds.
For example...i've driven myself to the point of madness designing my new bags, but i know per hour i'll make barely anything. It's a damn shame i tell ya!

Where are you based by the way?

they look too nice to be used as panniers.
would love a leather bag to put my suede A3 folio in but not just yet as too much other stuff to buy.£375 for top quality leather bespoke bag guaranteed for life? that's cheap IMHO
Hi,
I'm just wondering if there would be any demand for bespoke high quality cycling accessories like pannier bags or saddle bags etc.
The reason I ask is that I make normal day to day bags with solid silver buckles on them bespokely for clients (I am a jeweller by trade) and this is something I could happily undertake on the side as a bit of extra work. They wouldn't be cheap, but they could be made to whatever spec you wanted. So for example you could have many small pockets on the front or 2 large divided sections internally.
Take a look at the bags I make standardly, and let me know, would be interesting to see what people thought, think there might be some people out there that would like custom hand made panniers .
Pics below of the bags I normally make.
Cheers,
David
