I have done a couple of the SRS sportives. Quiet country roads taking in the south downs and the weald.
All starting from Burgess Hill.. various routes are listed.

Try Cuckmere haven, its a pretty up and down ride, but its an amazing place and on one of the nice days we've been having recently is a real win. Theres a pub a mile from the river mouth.

Ha. Seriously, ride out eatbound on the A27 to lewes, swing a left into Lewes; then again at the prison crossroads. Then head inland, turn left towards Plumpton. Carry on into and through Ditchling, either take the beacon, or cut back past Pyecombe Church and back into town from the A23. Repeat.

Cheesecake, are you the guy that works/used to work in Sydney Street Bikes? We met a few times, I'm de-stickered Bianchi with Pink hubs.
Only just saw this but am not living in Brighton at the moment otherwise would've been.

Hello Brighton peoples!
Can anyone recommend any good rides around the Brighton area?
Looking for quiet lanes & country roads, good pit (Pub) stops. Maybe taking in the coast somewhere along the way or Devils Dyke etc.
Done the coast route both ways loads now and looking for some more rides in the area.
Don't mind a bit of busy road cycling to get somewhere nice but don't want to spend hours on them.
Also trains out to good rides is fine.
Many thanks for any tips!
