This seems to be a recurring theme within Graduate students designing cycle related products... There is absoultly no need or target market (other than the clinically insane)for this product
while there possible isn't a target market fro this stuff, its not about that
its about challenging pre consived ideas that ultimately lead on to a better products in the long run, designing things like this can open the door to ideas that previously wouldn't be considered and make things better for every one.
if people didn't try new things regardless how fail they look or how un practical they are we wouldn't have what we have today.
