So far its 3.31 hours and 4 buses to get there. Im out if its at the Cave for obvious reasons.

from borough (just along from roebuck) you have the choice of two buses. 35 or 40 both will take you to camberwell green.

Have any of you got a Suntour Two-Notch freewheel removal tool I could borrow?

Yes.

It will take me either an hour to Roebuck (then 45 mins after that) or an hr to the hospital.
35 - massive walk to the bus stop at Borough...
40- also massive walk to the bus stop at Borough...
TFL cant even plan the route straight from work... I had to manually find the route and then where it crosses near by.
hermits cave is not a possibility for me - sorry Gerrald.

And as i cant make the hermits cave, i wont be going to the roebuck as i dont want to distract others from showing their support for Fruitbat

if you can get a train to denmark hill, its pretty easy going from there

It's one bus (35) from Shoreditch Town Hall to Camberwell Green. From there, it's a very short walk to the Cave.

An excellent bus - I took it back home last night bearing the lovely Webster TT frame. Takes a wee while though.
