  • Anyone seen this?

Finnish bicycle designer Olli Erkkila has always designed bicycles that can really surprise us. Look at the white bike below. It is his graduation project for Institute of Design in Lahti. Have you discovered the difference? It works without front fork. The odd bicycle just adopts a modified frame that is steered using handlebars connected to a steering rod that turns the front wheel. The frame is modified to support the rider in the absence of the front fork, with added tubing below the seat.

  • photoshopped surely

  • you're such a dick, everytime someone posts something you have some kind of smart answer. What are you suppossed to search for, 'forkless' comes up with nothing.

  • This seems to be a recurring theme within Graduate students designing cycle related products... There is absoultly no need or target market (other than the clinically insane)for this product

  • forking awful

would you like some schooling in the search function? click "search entire posts" then enter "forkless" then click "search".

    behold!

    smashing!

but thankyou for recognising my genius.

Utter wank. People said the same thing about home computers before they were invented and then developed to a point where they were both useful and commercially viable.
Design graduates should be free to create anything they want, once designed then they are able to decide it the item is suitable for the market.

  • dont kitchen porters work with forks anymore?

  • it's an unforkiveable design.

  • This thread is going to go in one of two directions. Like at some sort of split in the road.

don't you mean fork in the road?
