Born, thanks for taking this up. I am pretty sure you know what anguish his actions, or rather inaction has caused to members of this forum. Would love to see him apologise personally to those aggrieved.

Many thanks to Borntolate too, and the wonderful chat as well.
I've sent my pm to Borntoolate too, for whatever reason all the correspondence was all saved all the way through.

Important! Please can anyone who has had dealings with Mr P please PM me with details of items, price and outcome, and i will PM back to exchange info. This has to be done properly. BikeRescue are absolutely straight and legit, and need evidence in order to help victims, but rest assured the matter is receiving top priority.
Thanks to the forumsters who alerted me to this matter. -

Another piece of evidence which would be useful to know...
Do any of you have any evidence or means of finding out, rhe pick-up address from the couriers? It may be on a label. If its bikerescues address it will constitute a further offence and give them more grounds for taking action.
Thanks

in my pm from said person he said- its being picked up tonight, bout 5!!
which I found odd as I have to take stuff to the Post Office to send it be it large or small, I know eg TNT will collect etc but I thought it'd be expensive
He did say he'd do a deal and for £298 worth of goods he charged £300 in total- so it seemed cheap. (Little did I know)
Others have quoted he said he'd had trouble with the postal Co as a reason for delay in receiving goods.
Moog and others may be able to assist in identifying the posting Co.

From Ian Sikora of Bike Rescue Project in York:
Hi,
I represent a York recycling business called The Bike Rescue Project. There has been some recent activity on a thread entitled 'For Sale: Big 'ol clearout. Brakes, hubs, groupsets, saddles, wheels, pedals...' which has connected our business to the activites of a private seller.
We wish to make it known that this individual does not work for The Bike Rescue Project, and nor is
The Bike Rescue Project able to provide any contact details or otherwise regarding contacting this individual. We are currently seeking further advice regarding this matter, but would be grateful in the first instance if you were able to make these points clear to your members who are subscribed to this particular thread.
If you require any further communication regarding this matter, you have my email address.
Kind regards.
So just to be clear, the seller's actions should not taint or tarnish the activities and interests of Bike Rescue Project which looks like a decent setup with good aims.

"We wish to make it known that this individual does not work for The Bike Rescue Project, and nor is
The Bike Rescue Project able to provide any contact details or otherwise regarding contacting this individual."Which may be true, but this photograph on Flickr implies that he was working there at the end of March this year. So when did he leave?

I'm with 606, you could drive a truck through the gaps in their statement. So, who is/was Alex Peacock, did the stuff he "sold" (Ha Ha) come from the project, why did he leave, when did he leave, how come they don't have any contact details etc etc.
I'm sure the project is totally legit and a nice bunch, but it sounds a bit like they're getting ready to say "nothing to do with us", what they should be saying is "This is terrible, here is what we know"

Well they've said that they're seeking further advice. If they suspect the fellow was thieving and re-selling on here, then they are probably looking into a criminal prosecution, but as they haven't caught him in the act of theft then they'd have to seek advice from police and lawyers as to their approach and likelihood of conviction.
Unfortunately the cogs of justice don't work as efficiently as a good ol' online lynch mob.

Let's just give them some time and see what they come up with, and most of all absolve the organisation of all wrongdoings. We are dealing with Alex and not the organisation.
Borntoolate's reply to this thread encapsulates the feeling of the organisation, try to be in his shoes, a founder of a well intended org. finding out that somone in the org. is kinda murky and tainting their good name.
I am a volunteer at a similar project, and I share his feelings, the gutted sense of betrayal, the "What the hell?" moment when you realise your reputation is now on the line :)
Hopefully time will bring to light more facts and bring this issue to conclusion ;)

back to the issue regarding the parcel company he used, in my case he said he worked with Parce2go. He also claimed to have many problems with them and he even sent me the emais that he exchange with them.
One of the emails includes 3 tracking numbers, I don't know it that could lead somewhere... -

The Bike Rescue Co name was never in question- its entirely aimed at Alex Peacock who DOES appear there- I spoke to him there very recently as per my post- and he shit himself .
The Ian Sikora statement muddies the water further.
Lor- please send your details on transactions to Borntoolate- I'll send you the pm I got from Borntoolate which has his phone number on it, if you need an e-mail address.
The bottom line to me is that Ian is in possesion of Alex's address, and I and others need that for legal action to be taken via Solicitor's letter to the Small Claims Court.
Whether he's been doing other things with the shop is of no direct concern at present.
Update 1 I've just phoned the shop as I want to clearly understand what Ian is saying here, in passing I aksed if Alex was at the shop- and was advised Alex isn't working at the shop any longer
Update 2 I spoke to Mike who called me back on behalf of Ian- another one of the Directors of the shop, and he's checking on the legalities of releasing Alex's address- the shop has to abide by the Data Protection Act, so needs be sure if its ok or not.
Otherwise its a trip to the Plod Stn and see where to go next.

I bought a couple of small bits from him back in March and had no problem. Wonder why he decided to start ripping people off...
Just a thought but looking at his posts it looks like he bought some stuff so the sellers must have an address for him.

Hi guys
Im a bit confused myself now. Ian Sikora wasnt involved in my discussions with BikeRescue, I was working with the current Directors on this matter. Mr Peacock was indeed working at BikeRescue, as of last week. He was asked to leave over this matter and has now done so. I have been promised some current contact details, and will PM them to those affected members who have PMd me in relation to this saga.
I have expressed my displeasure at Ian's unfortunately worded message, and I hope to have some resolution for Peacocks victims soon. If all else fails I will find his address myself!
Nice one. Do you feel charitable?
Give him 24 hours to reply and after that we start hounding him at his place of work.
